Forest Bathing
Based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku which means to immerse oneself in the atmosphere of the forest. Forest bathing helps us slow down, awakens the senses and aids relaxation.
A guided forest bathing walk lasts 2-3 hours and involves a series of gentle exercises and ‘invitations’ that helps quieten the inner chatter and to become mindful of the subtle effects of time spent in nature.
The scent of the forest, the shades of green, birdsong and the feeling of a gentle breeze all assist in enhancing our mood and bringing balance into our everyday lives.
Spending time in nature has many health benefits and research has shown that essential oils or phytoncides emitted by trees are hugely beneficial to humans. Inhaling the organic compounds can boost the immune system, reduce high blood pressure, aid sleep and help one to de-stress.
Suzanne designs walks in forests, parks, gardens and beaches (even in the desert) anywhere there is natural beauty and space. She guides people through a sensory experience to fully unwind, restore and rejuvenate.
